i've done a lot of manual deleting, of course, but am seeking an automated solution because The only way i've found to avoid this is to go up to the server constantly and move emails out of the inbox and into folders there, but with 6 accounts in use, that's a lot of frequent extra work.ģ - aside from hoping to stop it from happening going forward, i urgently need to remove the duplicates from all the folders into which i have moved past emails. Lately it's stopped happening to my inbox constantly, but still does occur a few times a week at random.

it also happened (after a week or so) when a friend set up one of my mail accounts on his own Outlook for mac (which shares the NOTE: messages do not duplicate at server level nor in Apple Mail on my computer or iphone, so we know it's an Outlook issue. changing email provider/address is not an option.ġ - i've tried reinstalling accounts in outlook as well as creating new main profiles, and the problem inevitably recurs - sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few days.
